Part of the Capitol Complex, the Montana State Legislature allocation funds for a major renovation of this historic building that has housed both the Department of Environmental Qualtiy and the State Adminstration of Architecture and Engineering. Originally designed and showcased the Montana's first "green" building, the Metcalf building has been updated throughout the years but now is in a state of need for remodel to current standards. State A&E Department has been relocated and the building will house MT DEQ upon completion of the remodel.
