A second addition is in design as an expansion of the extremely popular Oakland Mall. Located in the city center, the mall attracts a diversity of citizens and visitors as it provides services from popular department stores, specialty shops, a cinema, and a variety of restaurants. Oakland Mall Rooftop was added, along with skylights and a green wall. Rooftop is LEED-certified at the Gold level.
The new addition will add more skylights, green walls, and another structured parking garage as well as expand the range of shops and services. Construction is expected to being in the fourth quarter 2022 with occupancy in late 2023 or early 2024.
