City of Cincinnati Fire Station 51

LEED Gold 2010
LEED New Construction v2.2
Cincinnati, Ohio

Located on the west side of Cincinnati in the College Hill area, this station was built in 2009 to LEED Silver standards. The design team, led by Moody Nolan Architects and supported by Kath Williams, earned LEED Gold.  The project included natural light, low-flow fixtures, rain gardens, pervious pavement, vegetated roof, and a rainwater collection system that fills the pumper truck.

The fire station replaced a much smaller building which was not able to accomodate modern fire suppression equipment. It also allowed for Medic 51 to be established and for reserve equipment to be stored.
