Naranjo Mall

LEED 2009 Core and Shell
LEED-Certified
Guatemala City
This commercial shopping mall project demonstrates the developer´s ongoing commitment to LEED. Spectrum is one of the biggest developers in the country of Guatemala. They have been interested in LEED since 2009, which makes them one of the earliest adopters in this country.

In 2016 Spectrum created and began implementation of a policy and mandate that all new projects will require LEED certification. This is a highly unusual and great commitment and leadership that will extend throughout Central and South America.  The first major success was a LEED-CS Gold certified building as part of their portfolio in Colombia, Fontanar. Following that, they certified their headquarters in Guatemala City under LEED-2009 NC.

Naranjo Mall is a LEED Core and Shell project with the goal of providing sustainable spaces for multi-national tenants. As a family-oriented mall, it has already become a community hub with a carousel, playgrounds, train rides, a little farm, and cinemas.
